About Us

Welcome to the MOMS Club® of Waipahu/Aiea, HI! We are a local chapter of the International MOMS Club®. We are a group of stay at home moms who strive to have fun and at the same time, support each other in the sometimes difficult task of raising our children. In order for us to meet this goal, we meet during the daytime where support is needed the most. Some of our activities include: Beach Days, Park Dates, Field Trips, Playdates, Recipe Club, Book Club, Babysitting Co-Op, Lunch in the Park and community service projects. Through these activities, we are given the opportunity to grow and learn from each other as parents, as well as build lasting friendships. All events are open to children as well.

Our chapter is open to all moms within the communities of Waipahu, Aiea, Pearl City and Royal Kunia. We regret that we are unable to process applications from outside our geographic boundaries at this time.We encourage all stay at home moms within our communities to seek us out so that you can enjoy all the wonderful activities we plan each month for our members.

Our Waipahu/Aiea chapter of the MOMS Club is part of an international organization that began in 1983. There are now over 2000 chapters and 100,000 members worldwide!

About Us

The MOMS Club®, has over 2,000 chapters with more than 100,000 members. The MOMS Club® is a nonprofit corporation and a 501(C) (3) publicly supported charity registered with the IRS.

The International MOMS Club® was founded in 1983 in California by Mary James, an at-home mom who felt isolated. She wanted to meet other at-home moms and wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she could not find any organization that met during the day and allowed her to come with her children, she decided to start MOMS Club®. The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club®, too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start chapters across the country.

The Waipahu/Aiea Chapter was founded in 2004. It was originally part of the MOMS Club of Leeward, Hawaii, but as that club grew too large, the decision was made to “sister” another chapter and that’s how the Waipahu/Aiea chapter was born. Initially, there were about 35 founding club members, but now, the membership has grown to 50 members.

Member meetings - Held usually the second Monday of every month. Everyone is encouraged to attend with their children. This is where we take care of club business, provide time to socialize and sometimes have speakers or other activities. If you would like to join us at a member meeting, please contact the Membership VP for the time and meeting location

Playgroups - We arrange playgroups based primarily on children's ages and meetings take place at member's homes and/or local parks.

MOMS Night Out - Usually held once a month and is for established members to enjoy a night out without the children. Activities include scavenger hunt, dinner and a movie, or another fun evening event with fellow MOMS Club friends.

Early Bird Coffee – Get together with other members to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee at Starbucks before you start your day.

Walk and Talk – Great way to fit some exercise in your day while chatting with other moms. Usually meet at the mall with our kids in our strollers. No fancy jogging strollers necessary.
